Agritourism Potentials: Linking Towards Hospitality Business in Brgy. Kiorao, Kibawe, Bukidnon, Philippines

Abstract

The main purpose of this study was to identify the potential agricultural farms linking towards agritourism in Brgy. Kiorao, Kibawe, Bukidnon. The study used the quantitative research design by using survey questionnaire. A researcher made instrument was used in gathering the data based on the Department of Tourism Executive Order 292.  Purposive sampling was employed in the selection respondents with the help of the Barangay Officials.

Results of the study showed that the Barangay Officials agreed that their barangay can offer, provide and accommodate major structures for the different types of attractions. Moreover, Barangay Officials, Residents and LGU Tourism Personnel agreed that their barangay can provide farm related activities as well as other recreational activities such as sightseeing and nature appreciation activities. Additionally, they both agreed that their barangay can create structure, develop sites, provide an area for recreation and build structure for accommodations. Also, they agreed that their barangay can designate, build and provide promotional facilities like souvenir shop, product development shop and tour guiding. Furthermore, both agreed that their barangay can develop and provide accessibility of the tourist.
